Pay is $16 per hour. Description: Part Time Firefighter / EMT
About Clyde Volunteer Fire Department: The department is a combination volunteer/parttime employee station that answers 1100 calls a year. We cover the central Haywood Fire District in the middle of Haywood Co. NC. The department is active in the county Swiftwater rescue responses and responds to approximately 6 Miles of I-40 and a portion of US.74.
Certifications: (Required): NC Fire Fighter I & Il NC EMT Basic. Candidate must demonstrate pump operations competency.
Preferred: NC Driver Operator Pumps. NC Technical Rescuer Water Rescue Specialty

Volunteer
The Clyde Volunteer Fire Department is stepped in the tradition of community helping community. Although modern times have brought on the need for paid staffing volunteering remains a important aspect of the department.
Volunteering requires no experience and is open to anyone over the age of 16.
Volunteers after meeting the needed training provided by the department respond to calls for service along side our paid staff.
Did you know the training is free? Joining your local department opens the door to obtain state certifications such as Emergency Medical Technician, NC Firefighter and Rescue Tech. Obtaining this training also opens the doors for a career in EMS or the fire service.
